Who is this course for?
This course is for families who would like to explore ideas of engaging your child/ren in learning while outside. We will use the local Victoria Park facilities to share ideas and develop new skills to promote learning while having fun with your little ones.
Exploring natural materials and found objects as well as using basic resources to develop learning opportunities that will promote a love of outdoor education.
Support and feedback
The tutor will provide verbal feedback during the session.
Additional costs and requirements
All materials will be provided.

About the tutor
Amanda graduated from the University of Kent and worked at the Kent Institute of Art and Design, she moved to the West Country and has worked for Learn Devon, tutoring adult and community learning courses for Devon County Council since 2002.
Amanda is an artisan who has exhibited and worked at the Bideford Art Centre, Burton Art Gallery, Bideford Pannier Market and other local shops and craft fairs in North Devon, she also takes bespoke commissions for Jewellery, Stained Glass and Mosaic pieces and is a member of the Heritage Crafts Association.
Amanda works in each of our three curriculum areas;
Arts and crafts, where she is renowned for her gentle, patient approach and has a good track record for encouraging learners to reach their potential, many of her past learners are now designer makers in their own right.
Family Learning, an area Amanda is passionate about, promoting a positive lifelong love of learning, she believes is essential to a family’s health and wellbeing.
And Adults with Learning Difficulties/Disabilities, Amanda is also the Co-ordinator for North Devon Mencap.
