Course content

Working in a small group and on a one to one basis; negotiate an individualised plan that can be focused on career planning, building confidence, CV writing, basic IT skills, and interview skills.

About the tutor

Brian Norman works as a Tutor for Learn Devon; and delivers a range of skills focussed courses. These include Employability (incorporating IT skills), Printmaking and Bookbinding.

He is also a qualified and practicing Specialist Mental Health Mentor with other organisations.

Brian has a BA in Fine Art; specialising in Printmaking, from Sunderland University, a Postgraduate Certificate in Online Education from Open University (Accessing and planning learning, in an online environment) and a PGCE in Post Compulsory Education from University College Suffolk.

Brian has worked his whole career in a range of ‘mental wellbeing’ focussed – ‘community-based’ settings, supporting individuals exploring their potential, and striving to meet personal goals. These skills have been shared within some of Learn Devon’s employability projects.
