Who is this course for?
The course is for anyone and each learner works at their own pace and level progressing onto the next stage when ready.
The course can cover several levels between Entry 1 and Level 2.
Everyday reading, writing and communication. This includes work on spelling, punctuation and grammar, writing for everyday use, reading texts (e.g. newspapers) and communicating well in everyday situations (e.g. telephone conversations).
You will learn with a group of people who have the same needs and interests but you will have your own personal plan for your learning which relates to what you want to be able to do yourself.
Support and feedback
There is a learning plan tailored to suit your needs and lots of chances to talk to your tutor about your progress and to record it.
Additional costs and requirements
You should bring a notebook/notepaper and pen.
The course is not suitable for ESOL learners
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
Yes effective learning requires regular practice at home. Your tutor set short homework tasks to help you practise the work done in the weekly session.
You will be encouraged to make use of such as internet websites, links and clips for self-study activities.
