Landscape through your lens
Who is this course for?
Develop your “seeing” eye to create great landscape photos. Use leading lines and foreground interest to add depth and impact. Use the best camera settings.
Open to all, but please note that the course may involve outdoor photo-shoot with some walking. No previous experience necessary.
Taking part in guided photo shoot with tutor support and suggestions on ways you can produce outstanding views. Images will then be downloaded, viewed and feedback given by tutor about how they can be improved
Support and feedback
Feedback and suggestions will be given on areas such as composition, exposure etc.
Additional costs and requirements
You are welcome to bring your own digital camera, or you may prefer to bring your smart phone or tablet to use to take your photos.
You may be eligible for a learner bursary if you can demonstrate that attending a course will improve your wellbeing. Eligibility is determined after a short interview with a member of our learning support team. You must be aged 19 or over on 31st August 2019 and your household income below £16.009.50 to access this fund. Contact your local centre for more details.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
No, although we hope you will want to carry on taking photos in between sessions.
About the tutor
Your tutor will be Paul Milsom. Paul began working for Learn Devon in 2000, he has taught in many areas including Employability, IT and Photography. Before joining Learn Devon, Paul worked in the legal and financial sector in London, involving projects in Thailand and Saudi Arabia. Paul enjoys art, music and photography, and keeps active by walking and cycling. He also has a strong interest in psychology and philosophy. Paul enjoys supporting learners to access their abilities and create positive results.
