Art and craft matters
Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for adults with learning difficulties and disabilities. It is for anyone who is being supported on a day-to-day basis, but who is hoping to be more independent in their daily life and who would like to have a go at different art and crafts. Course content
During the 5 sessions, you will be using a variety of media, such as paint, printing, papier mache, and fabric to create lovely pictures, mobiles and other things.
Support and feedback
The tutor will provide full support and advice throughout the course along with practical demonstrations.
Additional costs and requirements
You will need to bring an apron to protect clothes. All materials will be provided. There are no entry requirements.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
There is no requirement to undertake any additional work in your own time
About the tutor
Deb Perry has been teaching in adult education for 25 years as well as working as a designer and maker. Although a well qualified ceramics specialist with an M.A gained in Stoke-on-Trent, Deb’s degree is in 3-dimensional design. She has a lot of experience in different arts and crafts including recycling, papercrafts, printing, textiles and props and costumes for theatre. Deb believes that learning should be fun, stimulating and stress-free and tries to create an environment where everyone can feel at home.
