Yoga matters workshop
Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for adults with learning difficulties and disabilities. It is for anyone who is being supported on a day-to-day basis, but who is hoping to be more independent in their daily life. You will be looking to take part in fun activities and learn new skills in this easy Yoga Matters workshop. Complete beginners are welcome.
You will be learning in a safe, friendly and relaxed environment, amongst friends. This course will cover a range of activities including learning some easy Yoga stretches that are good for your body and ways to reduce stress/anxiety to relax your mind. You can also make new friends and find out about how to get involved in other opportunities and courses.
Support and feedback
Your tutor will be supporting you throughout the workshop. They will work with you to check on how you are doing and agree what you need to do to achieve the results that you want.
Your tutor will keep you informed with your achievements.
Additional costs and requirements
There are no entry requirements and you do not need to bring anything as all materials will be supplied.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
Not unless you would like to. If that is the case, the tutor will be happy to supply you with something to do at home.
About the tutor
Paul Beard (Dip. THY&R [Transformation Hatha Yoga], Dip P. Couns.Coach & OPRC Registered Teacher of Pure Meditation Foundation) is a qualified Yoga instructor, Mindfulness & Meditation Teacher and Coach.
Since 2001, Paul has been training and teaching individuals and groups in self-development, well-being and stress management practices.
He has also worked in a support worker role with people with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities.
