Who is this course for?
You will be making some unusual biscuits and snack food, that will be with strange colours and shapes and novel ways of presenting it. Taught in a fun and supportive atmosphere.
Creepy, spooky Halloween cakes, festive gold biscuits to hang on a tree, and savouries that spell your name out. Unique food with an arty twist.

Additional costs and requirements
Remember to wear suitable clothing or bring an apron or overall.
You should bring a notebook and pen. You may need money to buy a drink at break time. You will need to bring some simple ingredients that I will tell you about. There are no entry requirements.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
About the tutor
Harry Roberts currently works on Art and Design courses and a range of Art/music based ALDD courses for Learn Devon. For two months over the summer he works for a language company at Shebbear College, teaching English and Sport to French students.
Prior to this he worked for North Devon College for 12 years as a Fine Art Lecturer and Tutor. Before this he had four artist-in-residence positions in the UK and was International Research Fellow at Exeter College of Art and Frankfurt Akademie, and Junior Fellow at South Glamorgan University.
Harry has a PGCE from the University of Reading and a BA Hons (Ist class) from the Polytechnic Wolverhampton and Ecole des Beaux Arts de Lyon.
His current area of interest is in using paper pulp, dyes and oil paint to create large constructions that straddle the line between painting and sculpture. The current series of five works has taken four years and is due for exhibition next year.
He has held one-man shows at most large cities in the UK including two in London and has won 12 awards and prizes at local and national exhibitions and was awarded the gold medal in Fine Art in Newport, Wales.
His work is in various public and private collections including; Tarmac, Granada Television and three LEA collections.
When he a student his tutor was Anish Kapoor.
‘I love showing people new things and materials and helping them develop their skills. I believe everyone has a creative ability. We all drew before we could speak but sometimes this creative ability gets lost or buried. I like people to find what they never really knew they had.’
