This course is suitable for anyone with an acquired brain injury or stroke.

Course content

You will be working on creating a personal life journey book. There will be lots of conversation, music and songs used to help tell your story, along with words, pictures, poetry, maps, paintings, newspaper cuttings from the past, photographs and using ICT for research. Of course, you may include anything else you think will tell your story.

Support and feedback

Your tutor and a learning support assistant will be on hand to support you throughout the workshop. There will be opportunities throughout the course for you to discuss your progress and feedback from learners will help shape the course as it progresses.

Additional costs and requirements

You don’t have to bring anything with you to the first session but as sessions progress you might want to bring pictures and artefacts from home. Just come along with a willingness to participate and together we will find a way of making it happen!

Will I have to do anything outside of the session?

There is no expectation that you do anything between sessions but you may well find you want to.
