Who is this course for?
If you enjoy making things and exploring new ideas then this course is for you. You will be choosing your projects and making them the way that you want to.
No matter where you are starting, complete beginner or an experienced crafter, there will be a project to suit you.
This course is suitable for anyone who is being supported on a day-to-day basis, but who is hoping to be more independent in their daily life
You will be learning some craft skills and choosing projects to make. You might use paint, paper, felt or fabric.
Support and feedback
The Tutor or Learning Support Assistant will talk to you at each session and discuss your progress and enjoyment with you. You or a scribe will note your feedback on an individual learning plan
Additional costs and requirements
There are no entry requirements and you do not need to bring anything
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
No, but it would be great to hear that you are enjoying trying the activities at home
About the tutor
Belinda Barten started working for Learn Devon in 2005 and currently specialises in ESOL and ALDD Art classes. She has also been involved in Family learning teaching Story Sacks and Literacy courses. Prior to this she has travelled extensively teaching EFL (English as a Foreign Language) in different countries, and still teaches this during the summer months. She also has a keen interest in art, running her own business for a number of years, in art restoration, which was initially sponsored by the Princes Trust, something which she still dabbles in
