Around the world matters

Redford Meadow, Kingsbridge

Who is this course for?

Complete beginners are welcome.

Course content

Each week you will be learning lots of

fun things about a different country.

Depending on the country, we will

sample some of the food they like

eating, listen to their music, look at

their money and have a go at their

traditional dancing and language!

Most weeks we will produce an

art/craft activity relating to the country

visited.

Support and feedback

Your tutor will keep you informed with

your achievements.

Additional costs and requirements

It is always useful to bring a pen and

pencil.

Will I have to do anything outside of the session?

Not unless you would like to. If that

is the case, the tutor will be happy to

supply you with something to do at

home.

About the tutor

Caroline Ross currently works as a tutor for Learn Devon. Prior to this she worked for Integer training as a tutor and also as nationwide trainer and major accounts supervisor for Manpower plc.

Caroline has a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) and a City & Guilds Level 4 Certificate of Adult Literacy Subject Specialist qualification. Caroline’s area of interest is teaching adults with learning difficulties

Caroline has been heavily involved in her children’s school, being the Secretary then Chairperson for the PTA for 8 years. She helps out at the local Youth Club and is hoping to be involved in more youth projects in the future.

“I love teaching and giving people the opportunity to do things for themselves instead of someone doing it for them. As a child I experienced things being snatched from my hands because I looked awkward (just being left-handed!) and made a promise that I would never do that to anyone else”.
