Who is this course for?

This course is for anyone who has an interest in learning how to use a sewing machine and using patterns.

This course is aimed at beginners.

Course content

You will be learning about how to use a sewing machine including:

Threading up

Bobbin loading

Stitch types

Machine and free embroidery.

How to read and use a pattern

Support and feedback

Your tutor will support you throughout the sessions.

You will work with your tutor on your personal goals within the structure of the session. You will receive feedback on your progress and suggestions as to how to improve

Additional costs and requirements

Will I have to do anything outside of the session?

Fabric, cotton, pins, scissors. A simple pattern

How will I learn?

Your course will include practical tasks and discussions and your tutor will support you throughout with demonstrations, help and advice. This will help you to get the best from the sessions and to progress at a pace you are comfortable with.
