Stained glass terrariums and planters
Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who has an interest in working with glass to make decorative 3D forms, that can be planted up. This course is aimed at any level, from beginner onwards
A Terrarium is a glass structure that completely encloses a plant, creating its own microclimate. A planter is another 3D glass structure but with gaps to allow the plant to grow out from the enclosure. You will learn how to:
Make and use templates
Tack and bead solder
Use coloured glass for decorative inlays.
Support and feedback
You will work with your tutor on your personal goals within the structure of the course. You will receive feedback on your progress and suggestions as to how to improve, but there are no formal assessments points.

Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
To be able to listen to and follow instructions.
All materials will be supplied.

How will I learn?
You will be working with your tutor and other learners.
Your tutor will guide you through each process (glass cutting, soldering etc) with a practical example and one to one advice and help. The tutor will be there constantly for advice, assistance and encouragement.
