Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who has an interest in craft and enjoys making things from fabric.
This course is aimed at any level, from beginner onwards.
You will be exploring ways of how to upcycle clothing items into no-sew fabric pumpkins. A decoration you can use year after year to celebrate Autumn and/or spookify your home for Halloween.
You will be guided, by our tutor, through the processes needed to make a beautiful soft furnishings pumpkin.
You will be able to explore your own ideas and follow set practical tasks.
Support and feedback
Your tutor will support you throughout the session via the online platform. You will work with your tutor on your personal goals within the structure of the session. You will receive feedback on your progress and suggestions as to how to improve.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
You will need a laptop / PC / phone / tablet with a camera and microphone / headphones and a good internet connection.
You will need to provide your own materials.

“How will I learn?
You will be working with your tutor and other learners using an online video platform called Zoom. Your session will include practical tasks and discussions and your tutor will support you throughout.

A tube of fabric to make your pumpkin (any fabric, could be a trouser leg, shirt sleeve, jumper, or some fabric you have sewn into a tube)
Off-cuts of green fabric
PVA glue and glue brush
Stuffing (an old cushion or pillow will be fine)
Garden string (natural kind, green or brown)
At least 6 strong rubber bands
Plastic carrier bag or poly pocket
