Who is this course for?

This workshop is for anyone who has an interest in paper craft and making 3D paper sculptures.

This course is aimed at any level, from beginner onwards.

Course content

You will learn how to break down the fibres in paper and manipulate it into a 3D giant poppy.

You will consider the constructional processes involved.

Sewing will also be used to create the final piece.

Support and feedback

Your tutor will support you throughout the course via the online sessions. You will work with your tutor on your personal goals within the structure of the course. You will receive feedback on your progress and suggestions as to how to improve.

Will I have to do anything outside of the session?

You will need a laptop / PC / phone / tablet with a camera and microphone / headphones and a good internet connection.

You will need to provide your own materials.

“How will I learn?

You will be working with your tutor and other learners using an online video platform called Zoom. Your course will include practical tasks and discussions and your tutor will support you throughout. You may wish to continue work between the sessions. This will help you to get the best from the course and to progress at a pace you are comfortable with.

A4 sheet of black card

A4 size piece of natural coloured fabric (for the poppy seed head)

Pencil

Needle and strong thread

Paper

Paper cutting scissors

Pritt stick glue

Glue gun and glue sticks
