Printmaking for all: FULL
Who is this course for?
This is a flexible online programme designed to meet the learning needs of those new to Printmaking; as well as those of more experience who require technical input.
This is a relaxed group running for 5 weeks for those who wish to explore aspects of printmaking as a creative craft. This is a course suitable for all levels; any existing skills are welcomed and can be built on and developed.
You will develop a range of skills used by Printmaker’s applying these to produce a number of artefacts.
The course is focussed on creative accessibility and will therefore be centred on handprinted processes.
Those new or less experienced in these processes can join the more structured, taught parts of the programme. While those who have more experience and want to work on their own projects can do so; and will receive technical support from the tutor.
As part of the structured programme, tutor-guided projects will focus on different forms of Printmaking. You will have the opportunity to explore the ‘relief printed’ processes of Linocut and woodcut on paper or fabric; also the painterly process of Monotypes techniques.
If individuals want to work on their own projects or other processes. Please make contact with the Tutor to discuss your requirements.
Support and feedback
Your tutor will give practical demonstrations, talk through techniques and give feedback and support throughout the interactive workshop.
Additional costs and requirements
This course is delivered online and provided free of charge. You will, however, need a computer or a tablet with a stable internet connection, as well as a built in or external microphone and camera to attend the course.
You can if you wish bring your own ideas for designs. You will be sent a list of materials and essential tools with guidance on where to buy them.
