Understanding pattern design: FULL
Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who would like to develop their skills and ideas for creating patterns that can be used in all applications of their art and crafts. It is aimed at complete beginners, through to those that have some experience. The only requirement is an imagination.
Over the two weeks, the course will look at how to develop and design a motif, using a natural form as a starting point. It will explore different pattern formats, such as brick and block designs and incorporate these into a simple repeat, paper patterned A3 design. This could then be used as a starting point for further projects. It is intended that the course will provide you with the opportunity to interact with other learners in a relaxed and enjoyable session.
