Spring flower lanterns
Who is this course for?
Would you like to have a go at making your own spring flower lanterns, using wire and tissue? If so, then this workshop is perfect for you.
Using a selection of beautiful tissue paper, wire and PVA glue you will create your very own spring flowers lanterns that can be used to decorate your home or garden.
You will be guided, by our tutor, through the processes needed to make your uniquely designed flower lanterns.
The session is designed to promote sharing ideas in a supportive setting where your creativity will unfold and you will be proud of your handiwork.
Make special memories and create something beautiful.
Support and feedback
You will get continual support and feedback from your tutor throughout the session and have opportunities to discuss and review your progress.
Additional costs and requirements
All resources will be provided.
You might like to bring an apron or come dressed for mess.
Please bring a bag to take your flowers home in.
You may be eligible for a learner bursary if you can demonstrate that attending a course will improve your wellbeing. Eligibility is determined after a short interview with a member of our learning support team. You must be aged over 19 on 31st August 2019 and your household income below £16,009.50 to access this fund. Contact your local centre for more details
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
You will not need to do anything in your own time.
About the tutor
Amanda graduated from the University of Kent and worked at the Kent Institute of Art and Design.
Amanda moved to the West Country and has worked for Learn Devon, tutoring adult and community learning courses for Devon County Council since 2002.
