Who is this course for?
Come and create a beautiful Festive Garland.
Be inspired by the vibrant colours and textures of seasonal foliage.
You will learn to select appropriate foliage for the theme.
Consider colour, texture, mass and void.
Explore traditional and contemporary floral garlands.
Practise your skills and then create a beautiful festive garland.
Support and feedback
You will get continual support and feedback from your tutor throughout the course and have opportunities to discuss and review your progress.

All sundries are provided.
Some seasonal foliage samples will be available to show the range of foliage available for inspiration.
Please bring secateurs or scissors.
Please bring gloves.
Please bring a variety of seasonal foliage such as winter shrub stems, pine cones and your choice of decorative elements like ribbon and baubles.
Bring along some seasonal floristry images for inspiration.
• Driftwood Christmas tree: Please wear closed toed shoes as you will be using a drill. Please bring an apron or wear suitable clothing for messy craft
• Driftwood tea lights: Please wear closed toed shoes as you will be using a hacksaw. Please bring an apron or wear suitable clothing for messy craft
• Wooden tree branch bunting: You will be using acrylic paints and sharpie pens so please wear an apron
All materials supplied-please bring £1 for your refreshments.
You may be eligible for a learner bursary if you can demonstrate that attending a course will improve your wellbeing. Eligibility is determined after a short interview with a member of our learning support team. You must be aged 19 or over on 31st August 2019 and your household income below £15,276 to access this fund. Contact your local centre for more details.”
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
You will be given guidance as part of the workshop to help you should you wish to experiment further in your own time.
