Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for everyone interested in sewing and upcycling.
During this course you will learn how to re-use fabrics/old jumpers to make cushions including adding appliqué, trimmings, zips and buttons.

Additional costs and requirements
All equipment and some supplies will be available from the tutor during the course. Can you please bring any old jumpers, curtains or fabric remnants etc.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
To get the most out of this course, you mayl need to finish work started in class each week ready for the following week.
About the tutor
Sam Brown currently works as a tutor for Learn Devon running courses in craft and design. Prior to this she had a varied career working as a Graphic Designer, an Interior Designer and as a Manager in interior and fashion retail.
Sam has a BA(Hons) in Design/Typography from the University of Plymouth as well as diplomas in Interior Design and Fashion and Textile Design.
Since childhood, Sam has loved making handcrafted pieces, developing skills in needlecraft and creative textiles techniques. She is interested in combining old and new technologies in her work from hand embroidery to digitally printed fabrics and from letterpress printing to Adobe Creative Cloud.
