Quilted Christmas Tree Decorations workshop
Who is this course for?
This is an easy and fun workshop to make Xmas tree decorations. You will be using sissex machines and sewing machines and I’ll show you how.Taught in a supportive and friendly atmosphere.
You will be using die cutting machines to cut felt to make stars and hearts. These will be sewn together and stuffed with wadding to make a unique tree decoration
Support and feedback
Your tutor will be there for assistance and advice constantly.

We will provide the materials and equipment you need for this workshop.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
No. but it would be an advantage
About the tutor
Harry Roberts currently works on Art and Design courses and a range of Art/music based ALDD courses for Learn Devon. For two months over the summer he works for a language company at Shebbear College, teaching English and Sport to French students.
Prior to this he worked for North Devon College for 12 years as a Fine Art Lecturer and Tutor. Before this he had four artist-in-residence positions in the UK and was International Research Fellow at Exeter College of Art and Frankfurt Akademie, and Junior Fellow at South Glamorgan University.
Harry has a PGCE from the University of Reading and a BA Hons (Ist class) from the Polytechnic Wolverhampton and Ecole des Beaux Arts de Lyon.
His current area of interest is in using paper pulp, dyes and oil paint to create large constructions that straddle the line between painting and sculpture. The current series of five works has taken four years and is due for exhibition next year.
He has held one-man shows at most large cities in the UK including two in London and has won 12 awards and prizes at local and national exhibitions and was awarded the gold medal in Fine Art in Newport, Wales.
His work is in various public and private collections including ; Tarmac, Granada Television and three LEA collections.
When he a student his tutor was Anish Kapoor.
