Summer school: introduction to drawing
Who is this course for?
Are you keen to start drawing, but would like support with understanding the basic concepts that will enable you develop your skills? If this is the case then our introduction to drawing course is the one for you.
This is an introduction to drawing for complete beginners, you will use graphite pencils to explore line, tone, texture and form.
Support and feedback
There will be tutor led activities throughout the session to get you started and help you to continue exploring all the methods and techniques available.
Group and tutor led discussions will provide feedback.
Additional costs and requirements
If you have an apron please bring this with you.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
This is a taster session so there is no additional study required.
About the tutor
Alexis Soul-Gray is a practicing artist with a subject specialism in Drawing and Painting. She is a graduate of Central Saint Martins and Camberwell College of Art and has studied at MA level at The Royal Drawing School. Alexis is a qualified teacher of Art & Design and has taught in a wide range of formal and non-formal settings including Museums, Galleries, Primary and Secondary Schools, Universities and community arts projects. She has also worked as a curator, organising large scale Arts events in unusual settings.
