Art from fabric: creative embellishments
Who is this course for?
This course is for all abilities. If you are new to creating art from fabric, this is a great project to start with. Perhaps you would like to learn some basic skills, like how to sew on a button? On this course you will be able to learn the basics and make use of your old or odd buttons, beads, ribbons, braids, fabrics and old clothes, to make a unique art work.
You will have the opportunity to learn some basic sewing techniques using needle and thread, to sew buttons, braids and fabrics. Explore ideas for a beautiful picture. You can practise the skills to build your confidence and then embellish your own unique art work to take home or give as a gift.
Support and feedback
You will receive lots of encouragement and skills guidance to support you during the course. You will receive feedback to help you to progress with your work.

Please bring any sewing needles if you have them, threads, buttons, beads, ribbons, braids and clean fabrics/old clothes that you are happy to cut up. Bring along any items of any colour, pattern or texture and be creative.
