Painting from Nature
Who is this course for?
Suitable for all. You may have been on the Spring sketch walk workshop in the morning or you may be someone who has an interest in using nature as the inspiration for your art.
Course content
Using simple sketches made from our Spring Walk course and your personal sketches, use paint in the studio to develop these into colour compositions.
Support and feedback
There will be tutor led activities throughout the session to get you started and help you to continue exploring all the methods and techniques available.
Group and tutor led discussions will provide feedback.
Additional costs and requirements
If you have an Apron please bring with you.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
This is a taster session so there is no additional study required.
About the tutor
Alexis Soul-Gray is a practicing artist with a subject specialism in Drawing and Painting. She is a graduate of Central Saint Martins and Camberwell College of Art and has studied at MA level at The Royal Drawing School. Alexis is a qualified teacher of Art & Design and has taught in a wide range of formal and non-formal settings including Museums, Galleries, Primary and Secondary Schools, Universities and community arts projects. She has also worked as a curator, organising large scale Arts events in unusual settings.
