Ragrugging: make a coaster
Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for everyone. No previous experience is necessary and you don’t need to be artistic either! Come along and learn rag rug techniques. It’s surprisingly simple!
Creating something new, using your hands, learning a new skill and making friends can help us to feel less isolated, can increase our self esteem and encourage us to use our time more productively, giving us a greater sense of wellbeing.
“No one can give wellbeing to you. It’s you who has to take action,”
Professor Stewart Brown
During this workshop you will create a sample of rag rug techniques, which can be made into a coaster or trivet.
Support and feedback
To find out how you are getting on, you will have one-to-one discussions with your tutor.
Additional costs and requirements
All materials and equipment will be supplied. If you like, you can bring your fabric strips/scraps (cotton, jersey or fleece) to use in your work.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
