Wetfelt a picture with needle felt
Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for everyone. No previous experience is necessary and you don’t need to be artistic either! Come along and create a fabulous felty picture which can be used as a wall hanging or made into a cushion, tea cosy or bag after the workshop.Creating something new, using your hands, learning a new skill and making friends can help us to feel less isolated, can increase our self esteem and encourage us to use our time more productively, giving us a greater sense of wellbeing.
“No one can give wellbeing to you. It’s you who has to take action,”
Professor Stewart Brown
During the morning session, you will learn how to create your background using the wet felting technique, including pre-felt. After a short lunch break (Light lunch included), you’ll add some detail to your picture using needle felting and/or hand embroidery stitches.
Support and feedback
To find out how you are getting on, you will have one-to-one discussions with your tutor.
Additional costs and requirements
All materials and equipment will be supplied. A light lunch will be provided. If you like, you can bring your own photo/picture for inspiration.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
