Who is this course for?
This workshop is suitable for everyone interested in creating crafty items for Christmas. Make decorations for your home or gifts for friends and family. Lots of glitter and mince pies included.
This workshop will introduce a variety of craft skills. Paper crafts, sewing and decoupage. Using these techniques you will create some lovely Christmas themed projects which you can take home

You may be eligible for a learner bursary if you can demonstrate that attending a course will improve your wellbeing. Eligibility is determined after a short interview with a member of our learning support team. You must be aged over 19 on 31st August 2017 and your household income below £15,276 to access this fund. Contact your local centre for more details.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
About the tutor
Sam Brown currently works as a tutor for Learn Devon running courses in craft and design. Prior to this she had a varied career working as a Graphic Designer, an Interior Designer and as a Manager in interior and fashion retail.
Sam has a BA(Hons) in Design/Typography from the University of Plymouth as well as diplomas in Interior Design and Fashion and Textile Design.
Since childhood, Sam has loved making handcrafted pieces, developing skills in needlecraft and creative textiles techniques. She is interested in combining old and new technologies in her work from hand embroidery to digitally printed fabrics and from letterpress printing to Adobe Creative Cloud.
