Who is this course for?
This course is for all abilities of skill.
The emphasis is more about nurturing each learner’s creativity and developing your own ideas in clay.
The course is about exploring sculptural form whether it be figurative or abstract, the choice is yours.
Using clay tools and your hands to work with the clay.
Bring your own ideas with you to create a sculpture.
This is not a pottery course so no coloured glazing involved, alternative finishes offered.
Support and feedback
There will be a variety of activities to informally assess progress throughout the course. You’ll complete an individual learning plan (ILP) and there will be opportunities for you to discuss your aims and progress with your tutor. The tutor will also provide written feedback.
Additional costs and requirements
Clay and the firing of the sculpture is payable to the office. The tutor with weigh you work and tell you the cost in class.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
Research your own ideas, keep a sketch book of ideas to bring to class. This will be built up over the 10 weeks of the course as you progress.
