Christmas: Christmas jewellery
Who is this course for?
This course is for learners who have had little or no experience in working with metal or more experienced learners who want to build on their previous experience of jewellery making. There will be a degree of manual dexterity and strength required for the practical work.
On this course we will create jewellery from precious and non-precious metals as Christmas gifts or with a Christmas theme. We will learn how to pierce sheet material and explore 3D forming techniques such as doming and folding.
Support and feedback
There will be plenty of one to one support throughout the session, as well as demonstrations. I will give you continuous verbal feedback on your progress.
Additional costs and requirements
All materials and tools will be provided for you. However, if you want to use silver instead of non-precious metal you can bring money to purchase on the day. Between £4 – £10 is a guide depending on quantity. You may like to bring a pencil and sketchbook and some preliminary research of your choice.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
You may like to think about some ideas before the course in the way of sketches or photos. And there is always extra polishing you can do at home!
