Maths and English graphicsHere at Learn Devon, we are celebrating brilliant exam success after our GCSE maths and English learners collected their results this August.

In English, 36 learners out of the 37 who took the exam achieved an A* to C grade, including three A* and five A grades. In maths, 52 learners out of 81 gained an A* to C grade.

Cllr Roger Croad, Cabinet Member for Community and Environmental Services, says: “Congratulations to all adult learners who have passed their GCSEs this year. Learn Devon offers a great opportunity for people to build on their skills and qualifications, and I hope these excellent results inspire anyone who is thinking about enrolling on an adult learning course to contact them and find out more.”

Our GCSE maths and English courses for 2015/16 start in September and are offered free* to adults who do not already have a grade C or above in these subjects.

Courses will take place across the county on various days and times. Registrations are still being taken and anyone who is interested in joining a course should contact us. You will have a free skills check at your local Learn Devon centre with a tutor who will put you on the right maths or English programme.
